Phlearn pro tutorials are exactly how I wanted a tutorial to be. Fun, extended, and super informative. Phlearn's free courses trump most of the paid options that are out there and the PRO ones absolutely destroy them. Phlearn is the only place where I've seen practical solutions and examples to the problems that photographers face on a daily basis.
Aaron's presentation of both photography and Photoshop techniques is clear, concise and enjoyable. The value you get from the texture packs and PRO courses is fantastic and they immediately take your finished products to a whole new level.

I love the free episodes but with the pro you get all these extras and that helps so so much, I highly recommend buying that pro episode you have had your eye on, it is so worth it! The quality of tutorials and content that is produced by Phlearn is second to none.
After spending years watching tutorials on YouTube and buying expensive videos, I discovered Phlearn. The average Phlearn tutorial is much longer than any homemade YouTube tutorial. The content of each video is also much more in-depth.
It's unbelievable how many new things you can learn from each video. There's always a couple small things, that you pick up here and there, that you find yourself using all the time. This is in addition to all the extras that are included with the tutorials like brushes and actions.
The price point for videos in perfect, especially because I have paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars for 1-2 hour videos.
I am constantly telling my friends about Phlearn . I am found that both photographers and artists love it equally.

Living and working in South Korea, it has been very difficult to learn photography and photoshop. Without any friends, or photographers to talk to, I would spend hours browsing the internet, desperately trying to find any tidbit of information that would help me improve. All I could ever find were scraps, the odd tip, conflicting information everywhere, critique without advice, and it was as frustrating as it was confusing.
By chance I stumbled onto Phlearn one day, and was amazed at the idea of the Phlearn PRO's, jaw dropping, beautiful images that I could watch being created from start to finish. I bought one immediately and stayed up late watching it. I was blown away! I now own more than ten. Not only did I learn vast amounts of new techniques, I learned how to look at my own work with a more critical eye, I learned how to make my images believable, and I set a higher bar for myself. As a teacher myself, I really believe Aaron is a great instructor. He's always engaging, fun, infectiously enthusiastic and he holds nothing back, he makes mistakes, he corrects his mistakes, overcomes problems and he will show you what is possible if you keep trying and work hard at your craft.
Sure, other photographers offer 'tell-all' tutorials, but I have found these to have less information and a much higher price tag. Here we have a community. Wherever I am, I'm only a few clicks away from the best photoshop tutorials in the world, and I come back to them often. I'm not a professional photographer, but I love to create and Phlearn has given me the power to create images I am really proud of.

I can't tell everyone how helpful Phlearn has been to me as a photographer. Its like an addiction to a substance that helps you get further in life rather than holding you down or burdening you with expenses. Phlearn serves inspiration in a large daily dose of awesomeness; pure fun and light hearted honesty in every free episode made my the team.
The Phlearn Pros, of which I own 15+ of are the most helpful resource of photography tutorials that teach the things that I want to learn; I have never came across anything on the internet like it, and I even own a Lynda account.
I would recommend Phlearn to every skill level of photoshop user, from causal beginner to advanced photoshop masters. I would like to thank Aaron Nace for his enormous contribution to the photography/photoshop world and would consider him one of my greatest inspirations in this field. That being said, I will continue to support the community and Phlearn as a whole as long as I can even past a high level of photoshop proficiency.

As far as photoshop is concerned I'm very much in the early stages, but the way Aaron teaches even an old non-techie beginner like myself can follow along with plenty to learn in a very understandable way no matter how much, or little, they know.
Someday maybe I'll actually get decent at this stuff, but for now at least I found a place where I can find plenty to keep me going without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated... Proud to be part of the Phamily!!!

I've been experimenting with Photoshop for 4 or more years now, and I found myself constantly using the same techniques which did not help me progress and did not make my photos look too realistic. After coming across Phlearn, joining the daily discussions in the episodes and getting a Phlearn Pro video, I realized how much more there is to Photoshop. The episodes opened my eyes to new ways of editing a picture and making it stand out. Aaron covers absolutely everything there is to know about the program!
The Flood Pro episode that I have purchased showed me the process of making an image (explanation of the light sources was very helpful), as well as the post production. I learned how to make the model look perfect yet natural, I learned about making a composite and how to create a mood for the picture, as well as many more ways of creating a photograph that I still use today.
I highly recommend getting a Phlearn Pro to anyone who is interested in taking their creativity to the next level!
