Basic Levitation – Episode #66

Today we are going over a very basic way to do a levitation shoot. Jumping. This is really easy and can give some great results with or without some photoshop.

The main thing to keep in mind is to use a fast shutter speed to capture the movement into still. For this image we used 1/1000 sec, but even faster is not a bad idea :)

Even though Cuba was mixed feelings, i go for this photo : http://www.flickr.com/photos/macrolensfan/5239975354/in/set-72157621701413097
Great fun to attend a cinema where people talked all the time, cheared and laughed really loud. Clapping and chanting happened also.
Will go back when socialism comes in a light version.

Still not sure how you’re going to pull this off, but can’t wait to find out.

Got an amazing opportunity to travel to India as a high school student well over a decade ago. Always liked this one the best.

yall are so cute! especially when the jogger went by, it’s always awkward when people pass by during a shoot :) my favorite travel picture is also from croatia. it is the most beautiful and picturesque place. everything was the most vibrant shade blues.

When you do the shot do you pre-focus or just shoot and let the auto focus do its thing?

I LOVE levitation shots! Levitation is actually what got me into photoshop because I wanted to figure out how it is done! I have never done them jumping, only with chairs and stuff underneath but that is actually a nice idea! Will try :D

The jogger made me giggle ,) He probably thought WTF ;) )
