Cheap Amazing Light Photography!
Take an amazing creative photo using lights that you could find around the house. We are not talking about anything a photographer would own, think Grandma’s house. This week’s contest will have TWO winners! The first will be from the comment section below this post, so be sure to post your image before 12PM EST on Monday. The SECOND winner will be chosen from the Phlearn Flickr group. To be considered in this contest your photo must be tagged with PHLEARN, it must be in the flickr group, and it must have the PHLEARN WATERMARK on it.

We can’t wait to see your entries! Good luck, and go be awesome!

okay this was literally done at my grandma’s! i found some fairy lights she had lying around, and used my sister as a stand to move them. I then decorated my model with toy spiders to show the concept of arachnophobia - as phobias is part of my photography course work for school. this is my first time using artificial lighting and i think it’s worked really well!

Random Tips

You only need new gear if you can define exactly how your current gear is limiting you and how the new gear would remove the limitation. If you can’t the money would be better spent on workshops and other forms of training.
