This Week’s Contest

The theme for this week is “Color your images in post” meaning we want to see your images that have been colored using Photoshop, Lightroom or any other program.

You can add colors to the shadows and highlights of an image to help bring out a certain tone or mood. You can also completely change the color of a certain object in your photo to help it contrast well with the rest of the image!

How to Enter
Simply add your image to a comment below. Please only submit one image each week. You're submitting images to be edited, so don't do too much Photoshop beforehand. We want to teach not just how, but why edits are being made.

How to Win
The person who best exemplifies the contest theme will be the winner. If two entries are close, the amount of likes, comments, and a great description will be the deciding factor. Winners are chosen by the Phlearn team.

Here is an image of my friend & I. I shot these for a vintage wedding fayre and thought sepia fitted quite well. I had trouble with blending/hiding things in the background however

Can’t seem to upload it directly onto the website. The original was whit daylight, but I thought that giving it a blue hue with some curves adjustments gives it a more dramatic feel

I wanted to match the coldness of the grass and the stone bridge for the background and so I removed the slightly more orangey/red tones and cooled it down to match the foreground and give it a crisp, wintery feel.

This is a picture that I took to practice with my new 85mm I loved the shot but as I was seeing and learning from the rise of the humboldt I decided to use some of that to change the mood of the picture and enhance it what do you think ?
