Introducing Actions

We are so excited to announce the newest section of Phlearn – ACTIONS. If you have never used actions, your life is about to change. Photoshop Actions are basically an entire workflow in photoshop stored in a document. What this means, is that all you have to do is press PLAY, and the action does the rest for you!

Challenge

Apply these actions to YOUR photos, and post them online, making sure to link back to Phlearn! The top 3 entries will each win any Phlearn PRO of their choice! We are judging based on how applicable the action is to your photo, how many people you share with, and basic awesomeness.

Be sure to leave a comment below linking to your site/post where you post the image and link to phlearn.

    Thanks for the actions man! I like the ones more where you actually have to do stuff. haha. Destructible actions are lamer cakes. Will be using them on some of my images and posting entering for sure. So glad the pros are coming on Friday now so I can watch them on the weekend. P.S. Retire that shirt man! Lol. ;)

    I love the action you used on my photo.  It complemented to the “antique dolls” look nicely. =) 

    I used the three actions on a photo of, yet again, my daughter. (the poor girl is my little guinea pig. haha!)  They all look great.  LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

    This was the Light Yellow Glow action (before/after).  I wasn’t able to tweek for some reason.  Once it was done running the adjustments wouldn’t work.  Great actions, thanks so much Aaron.

    Finally caught up in episodes. Amazing site, Aaron. I was compositing this image in B&W, and I was going to do some split stones. Since this week’s contest is applying actions, I decided to try to apply the Light Yellow Glow. Don’t know if I’ll keep it like that, but it came out really pretty nice.

    I used your “light yellow glow” action and then used what i learned from your texture lesson over it. 
    The texture is from film scans of bokeh and light I snapped during a concert.

    Hey Aaron, love these actions that you gave us and love it more that you didnt flatten them so that we can learn more. Im sure you have gotten “tired” hearing us thanking you but let me thank you for everything. I have improved and its mostly due to your teaching.

    Here are two images that I applied the actions on, one I used the Light yellow glow but tweaked it a bit to get what I wanted, the other one mixed more than one action, tweaked it too and added another cloud texture.
