Tutorial Description

We will get started finding the wall paper, applying the wall paper, and then show a finished image.

Where Oh Where to Find Wallpaper

Since we’re applying this wallpaper in Photoshop, there’s no need to make a trip over to Home Depot. We found a great variety of Textures, including wallpapers, over at a free website called Lost and Taken. All of the high resolution Textures on the website are free for both personal and commercial use, but make sure to give them credit if you do use something of theirs.

Applying the Wallpaper

Now that we have our wallpaper, we can see that the edges are darker than the center among other inconsistencies. By selecting one part of the wallpaper, we can make a Pattern that doesn’t have any vignetting whatsoever. Now, it’s important that the wallpaper matches the perspective of the wall that’s already there. By finding the leading lines in the image and using the Transform Tool, the wallpaper looks like it’s actually on the surface of the wall.
