I love love love this pro-tutorial… Aaron is very thorough in all of his videos and he has a way of explaining things that just make everything easy for you to learn and improve your skills with Photoshop…. This was the first tutorial I purchased after signing up for the newsletter and receiving a free tutorial…. I love PHLEARN and there is no better way to support PHLEARN than to share their free videos and make purchases from their online store… I have purchased a few tutorials and many of their texture packs… They have all helped me improve my skills and do better work… Thank you PHLEARN!!!

This is a great tutorial on skin retouching. By the time I was finished I nearly shocked myself when I looked at the before and after–an amazing transformation. Thanks Aaron for your step by step help. Now, I think I’ll review this a few more times to make sure that I nail the concepts and can repeat them at will Thanks again!

WOW! I am shocked at what I learned in 2 hours. The video was very easy to follow and what amazed me the most is that this is my first time retouching EVER. Definitely recommending this to all of my friends.

I’ve been watching Phlearn tutorials on YouTube since December but I didn’t actually buy a PRO tutorial until a few weeks ago. Aaron is an absolute genius and makes professional retouching super easy to learn. When retouching my pictures, I don’t use absolutely everything in this always, but I can’t live without the colour blending technique in this now. If you’re on the fence about whether this is worth it or not, it absolutely is.

Hi, I really like some of your tutorials, especially the special effects and collages!
But I have to say, this one: nope, sorry! the skin retouching looks way to plastic and fake. I see this often in skin retouche tutorials and i really don’t understand why these methods get promoted, since this is really not the look high fashion clients are looking for! good old healing tool, used in detail and some very detailed and soft dodge and burn ( without the overdoing it) will do just fine!
This plastic look is just weird, see how the texture around the eyes doesn’t blend in with the way to flattened skin around…

I agree with Sophie – the transitions between retouched and not retouched skin are too obvious – and the skin has lost too much texture and looks too smooth/blurred and fake. Best when the face looks great but the retouching doesn’t jump out. Honestly this looks like a lot of the bad/overdone retouching on Opra on many of her magazine covers (although I haven’t looked at one since 2015).

Other than this one, the Phlearn tutorials are great – I’m a professional photographer with 25+ years experience and teaching my son retouching – I directed him to Phlearn to speed up the process
