Hey there. This image is of my 12 year old sister. I reallllllly like this one, it’s one of my favourites. I think the contrast really brought out the colours and made you focus more on her eye. And if you look closely, you can see me in the reflection of her pupil! 😀

Being able to watch nature in the reflection of a horse’s eye feels so peaceful and relaxing, so i’m very pleased to be able to capture the beauty of the environment surrounding me and the horse in the reflection in this photo.

My beautiful wife, taken at the very beginning of my journey into photography. It’s my favorite shot, because it’s the one that showed me in that time, what’s possible with a DSLR and gave me that kick to dive deeper.

This is a close up of the best dog I’ve ever had, we shared the last nine years of her life together. Sandy was a half Chow half Husky. I found her at an animal shelter where she had been abused and neglected and dumped. When she and I saw each other it was love at first site.

Cloud Forest lens constellation in Costa Rica. I was getting so many beautiful photos of the Cloud Forest in Costa Rica with my DSLR but when looking down at my lens I found the forest’s reflection staring back at me like a beautiful constellation and had to snap it with my phone.

My current project is rings and small things.
I wanted to submit my Hello Kitty ring horror shot, but it’s not finished. So enjoy the wooden ring.
I imagine the rings are characters in a portrait, lighting them with small Maglites or LEDs.

This photograph is titled ‘Bunny’ as that is the name of the stuffed animal in the photo. Bunny, is a true “velveteen rabbit” representation for myself and my childhood.

Here is my close up! Well not [my] closeup…but here is a critter I found in my patio one day. This lizard was really tiny but I had my macro lens just inches from his face. The photo also confuses him for a snake which I think is pretty cool.

Shot this of a feeding iberia slug a few years back. These are a real pest here, so I unfortunately had to send it on a ehhh… “vacation on a farm” before getting a model release. Hope you can let it slip. Thanks for the great tutorials.

i am so nervous entering in this contest, but i thought well the worst that could happen is i don’t hear anything or a i am sorry you didn’t win email. lol So i took a deep breathe and doing it. I am doing photography more as a hobby but i am teaching myself it which means i am reading anything and everything and just soaking in all the information i can. I love being able to get close to a subject and capture the shot from the heart. This shot was taken just after taking my son to school and the sun was shining just how i like it and i was in the process of a mental health change and as i was walkin home with my two girls in toe i saw this leaf standing in the grass shining. My first thought was that is me after years of being in the dark being controled by my inner demons i am finally free. Free of fear, free from it all. As i took this shot i cried, it is a new leaf and it is looking up from here is what i am getting at. i am so bad at explaining and grammer hehe. but hope you get my drift. Anyway, here goes. it is not edited.

    * Image was HUGE! So if it’s a little ‘meh’ I apologise.

The reasoning behind this image was to show beauty through a deathly stage of life. The flowers were now dying and didn’t have
much left but they still gave out a vibrant aura about them when I walked past so I had to take a close-up picture!

-Sorry if this is sent again, before it said I commented too quickly? :o!
