Getting Started Online

1. First, navigate your web browser to firefly.adobe.com. You’ll need to log in using your Adobe ID to access the platform.
2. Once logged in, you’ll find a navigation bar at the top. Click on the “Video” tab to enter the video generation workspace.
3. Here, you’ll see different features, some currently available in beta like “Text to video” and “Image to video,” and others listed as “coming soon”. For this guide, we’ll focus on these initial beta features.

Text to Video Creation

1. To generate a video from text, select the “Text to video” option.
2. On the left side of the interface, you’ll find general settings. Here, you can choose the aspect ratio (widescreen or vertical), and the frames per second (currently limited).
3. Explore the “Camera” settings to define your shot size (e.g., medium shot, close-up) and angle (e.g., low angle, aerial shot).
4. The “Motion” settings allow you to add movement like zoom in, tilt up, or static.
5. At the bottom, you’ll see a prompt box where you can type your video description (up to 180 characters).
6. Once you’ve entered your prompt and adjusted the settings, click “Generate” to begin the video creation process.

Image to Video Exploration

1. To animate an image, select the “Image to video” option.
2. You’ll see an upload area where you can add either a single image for animation or both a start and an end frame to create a transition.
3. Similar to the text-to-video feature, the left-side panel allows you to adjust the aspect ratio and, importantly, the camera “Motion.”
4. After uploading your image(s) and selecting your desired motion, you can add a short prompt (at least four words) to guide the animation.
5. Click “Generate” to see your still image come to life. Remember that the history of your generated videos will appear at the bottom of the screen for easy review.
