DESCRIPTION

Document one of the most exciting times of your life with our Maternity Lightroom Preset Pack! Designed to brighten photos with soft whites, pinks, and blues, and add positive, uplifting energy to any photo. Perfect looks for pregnancy and maternity photos.

Nearly all of these looks lower contrast and bring the whites down, and most open the shadows for a light, matte finish, made for pregnancy portraits by a window or outdoors. After you apply one, raise Exposure slightly if the room was dim.

One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Maternity Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks

Soft, Clean Light for Maternity Moments

Ten presets that soften whites, ease contrast and keep skin warm and bright for bump, studio and at-home photos. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

Couple laughing together on a bed while holding a pregnancy test, after the Simply Ivory preset is applied
Included – PHLEARN Simply IvoryOriginal

Simply Ivory

Simply Ivory is a gentle, light-touch edit for this at-home moment. The gray bedding and walls pick up a soft ivory warmth, skin stays natural, and the whole scene looks a little calmer and more even. Exposure, white balance and saturation are left alone.

Softer Whites, Lifted Blacks

Whites come down by 29 and highlights ease while shadows and blacks lift, so bright sheets keep their folds and dark hair keeps detail. Blacks rise by 17 and shadows by 14. Contrast drops slightly, and a small dehaze cut adds softness.

A Hint of Yellow, No Color Shifts

A faint yellow tint goes into the highlights and shadows, which is where the ivory comes from. No individual colors are changed, so skin, clothing and decor keep their true tones. There is no tone curve change, grain or vignette.

Best on: couples at home, pregnancy-test and announcement moments, and photos on a bed or sofa.

Pregnant belly with hands holding an ultrasound photo, after the Vintage Pinks preset is applied
Included – PHLEARN Vintage PinksOriginal

Vintage Pinks

Vintage Pinks gives this bump close-up a faded, keepsake feel. The dusty rose dress turns softer and a little lighter, the ultrasound print softens, and hands and skin stay warm and natural. Overall saturation and vibrance stay untouched, so the color changes come from individual hues.

Contrast Down, Haze Added

Contrast drops by 36 and dehaze goes to -19, which adds a light, misty softness. Highlights and shadows barely move. Whites ease down so pale fabric never glares, and a small tint shift adds a touch of magenta.

Pinks Brightened, Yellows Muted

Reds, magentas and purples get a little brighter, which lifts the rose tones. Yellows, greens and aquas lose about 40 points of saturation, so dried grass and background color stay quiet. A faint purple tint goes into the shadows and a faint yellow one into the highlights.

Best on: bump close-ups, ultrasound and announcement photos, and pink or blush outfits.

Pregnant woman in a blue lace dress in front of a pink draped backdrop, after the True Chestnut preset is applied
Included – PHLEARN True ChestnutOriginal

True Chestnut

True Chestnut brightens this styled studio portrait and softens every color. The white backdrop goes cleaner, the pink drapes turn paler, her skin lightens with a rosy warmth, and her auburn hair keeps its chestnut tone. Contrast and highlights ease slightly.

A Big Dehaze Cut

Dehaze drops by 31 and whites by 38 while shadows lift, so the whole frame takes on a soft, glowing haze without blowing out the backdrop. Temperature warms slightly. The tone curve lifts the lights and highlights while darkening the darks.

Lighter Skin, Paler Blues

Oranges and yellows get brighter, which lifts skin and hair, and a faint magenta tint in the shadows adds the rosy touch. Blues lose a little color and get lighter, so the pale blue dress turns softer. Yellows also shift toward orange, and a faint warm tint goes into the highlights.

Best on: styled studio maternity portraits, pastel dresses and backdrops with pink or white fabric.

Couple with their toddler playing with wooden blocks spelling BABY, before the Warm Lace preset is applied
Couple with their toddler playing with wooden blocks spelling BABY, after the Warm Lace preset is applied
Included – PHLEARN Warm LaceOriginal

Warm Lace

Warm Lace adds a creamy, sunlit warmth to this nursery moment. Skin glows, the white shirt and blanket take on a soft cream-pink tone, and the cool gray light in the room turns warmer. Shadows rise by 21 and blacks by 19, which keeps the room open and soft.

Warm Tints in Light and Shadow

A yellow tint goes into the shadows and a red tint into the highlights, and temperature warms slightly. Yellows also swing hard toward orange, which adds to the honeyed feel. Vibrance rises by 10, while yellows lose some saturation and oranges a little.

Brighter Skin, Deeper Blues

Reds, oranges and yellows all get brighter, so faces and hands glow. Greens, aquas and blues get darker, which keeps blue fabric and shadows rich instead of washed out. Whites come down by 21 and contrast eases by 10 for a gentler finish.

Best on: parents-to-be at home, baby-block and nursery details, and bright indoor shots.

Pregnant woman sitting cross-legged on a bed smiling, before the Soft Linen preset is applied
Pregnant woman sitting cross-legged on a bed smiling, after the Soft Linen preset is applied
Included – PHLEARN Soft LinenOriginal

Soft Linen

Soft Linen is a light touch for a very bright scene. The white bedding and top stay clean, skin and the tan cardigan pick up a little warmth and brightness, and the gray leggings keep their shape. White balance and saturation stay unchanged.

Whites Pulled Down by Half

Whites drop by 52 and contrast by 26 while exposure rises slightly, so a white-on-white room keeps its folds and texture instead of turning flat white. Clarity and texture ease for softer skin. The tone curve raises the darks by 34 and the highlights region by 22, while shadows drop by 17.

Brighter Warm Tones

Reds, oranges and yellows all get brighter, which lifts faces and warm fabrics. A faint orange tint in the shadows keeps the white room from feeling cold. Reds also gain a little saturation and shift slightly toward orange.

Best on: bright bedroom portraits, white bedding and studio-style shots with lots of white.

Pregnant woman standing by a window touching her hair, before the Warm Dove preset is applied
Pregnant woman standing by a window touching her hair, after the Warm Dove preset is applied
Included – PHLEARN Warm DoveOriginal

Warm Dove

Warm Dove opens up this dim window-lit portrait. The dark room brightens, the sheer curtains turn a soft warm cream, her skin lightens and the lace robe shows more of its detail. Contrast drops by 26, and exposure itself does not change.

Darks Lifted on the Curve

The tone curve raises the darks a lot while highlights drop by 50 and whites by 45, so shadows open up but the bright window keeps its detail. Shadows also rise by 19, and the curve lifts the lights and highlights regions too. Blacks go slightly deeper to hold her dark hair.

Cream Highlights, Quiet Color

An orange tint in the highlights warms the light. Yellows, greens, aquas and blues lose about half their saturation, so curtains and walls read as soft cream instead of yellow or gray. Reds shift strongly toward orange, and yellows get much lighter.

Best on: underexposed indoor shots, window-lit portraits and sheer curtains or lace.

Lightroom Preset Questions, Answered

What’s included in the Maternity Lightroom Presets?

The Maternity Lightroom Presets include 10 presets: Scotch Cream, Softest White, Muted White, Soft Linen, Simply Ivory, Vintage Pinks, Bright Cotton, Warm Lace, Warm Dove and True Chestnut. They come as .XMP presets for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus .DNG versions for older versions of the mobile app.

What kind of photos are the Maternity Lightroom Presets made for?

Pregnancy and maternity photos. The presets brighten images with soft whites, pinks and blues and add positive, uplifting energy, with clean and bright looks meant to capture the months before a new baby arrives the way they felt. They work on both RAW and JPEG photos.

Which Maternity Lightroom Presets are shown on this page?

The before-and-after examples show Bright Cotton, the featured look, along with Simply Ivory, Soft Linen, True Chestnut, Vintage Pinks, Warm Dove and Warm Lace. That’s 7 of the 10 presets in the pack, so you can compare several looks side by side before choosing one.

Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?

Which version of Lightroom do I need?

The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.

How do I install Lightroom Presets?

In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.

I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.

The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.

Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?

Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.

Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?

Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.

The preset looks too strong. What do I do?

Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.

Do you offer refunds?

Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
