How to Install Your Presets
A short PDF that walks you through installing this pack in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus three tips for better results.
DESCRIPTION
Perfect for your travel and vacation photos, our Travel Lightroom Presets will help bring out the color and vibrance in all of life’s adventures. Brighten images while enhancing crisp blue skies, shimmering coral seas, and rich golden landscapes.
These looks pull back the highlights every time, and most lighten the shadows and lower contrast, which works well for road trips, beach towns and city sightseeing. After you apply one, adjust Vibrance to bring more or less color into skies and water.
One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Travel Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks
Bright, Airy Color for Sunny Trips
Ten presets that open up shadows, tame harsh sun and keep skin warm in vacation photos. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

One Look for Every Trip
The Travel pack brings beaches, road trips and city streets together into one bright, airy feed. In the grid, dark shadows open up and the photos get lighter and softer, so a whole trip reads as one set. None of the ten change exposure, so the lift comes from the tone settings.
Highlights Down, Shadows Up
All ten presets pull the highlights down, nine of them lift the shadows and nine lift the blacks, which tames harsh midday sun and keeps bright skies from blowing out. Seven also raise the darks on the tone curve.
Warm, Never Cool
Six presets warm the white balance and none cool it, so skin and sand keep a sunny tone from one photo to the next. Every preset also lowers yellow saturation and shifts blues toward aqua, and nine mute oranges.
Best on: travel feeds, vacation albums, and summer photos you want to share as a set.

Lift Off Yellow
Lift Off Yellow opens up a sunny road-trip shot and gives it a soft, airy finish. The friends’ faces and denim brighten, the desert hills fade to a pale haze and the blue car picks up a lighter, minty tone. The white balance warms slightly and leans a touch toward green.
A Faded Black Point
Highlights are pulled down very hard and the shadows lift a lot, and the tone curve raises the black point so dark areas turn soft gray. Whites and blacks both go up. The curve also holds the brightest white just below pure white.
Vibrance Up, Saturation Down
Vibrance rises while overall saturation dips slightly, so muted colors gain a bit of life without strong colors getting louder. Aquas shift toward green, which turns the car minty. Yellows also lean toward orange and get lighter.
Best on: road trips, desert landscapes, and group selfies in bright sun.

Crisp Apricot
Crisp Apricot brightens a sunny close-up and softens its shadows. Her face and the straw hat lift out of the shade with a warm apricot tone, and the beach behind her goes light and creamy. Exposure does not change, and contrast rises only slightly.
Open Shadows, Bright Whites
Shadows lift a lot and the blacks rise, while whites go up and highlights come down, so a face under a hat brim gets lighter without the ice cream or white top clipping. The tone curve raises the shadows and darks further while easing the lighter tones down.
Warm, Even Skin
The white balance warms a little and a red tint goes into the shadows, while oranges are muted and darkened slightly, which keeps skin from turning too bright or orange. Oranges also lean toward red, and greens lose a good part of their saturation.
Best on: beach-day portraits, summer snacks, and close-ups in harsh midday light.

Golden Gold
Golden Gold lightens a sunny rooftop view and adds rich gold to warm colors. Her hair, hat and tan shorts get a deeper golden tone, and the shaded rooftops behind her open up so the view reads as clearly as she does. Exposure and white balance do not change, so the gold comes from the color mix.
Richer, Deeper Oranges
Oranges gain a lot of saturation and get darker, while yellows get much lighter, which turns tan and brown into warm gold. Greens lose much of their color and blues gain a little. Vibrance also rises by 15, and yellows lean slightly toward green.
Soft Contrast, Lifted Shadows
Contrast drops and the shadows and blacks lift, while highlights come down, so a bright, busy cityscape looks light and even. The tone curve lifts the darks further, and whites go up.
Best on: city views from a balcony, backlit travel portraits, and sunny old towns.

Lightroom Preset Questions, Answered
What’s included in the Travel Lightroom Presets?
The pack includes 10 presets: Crisp Apricot, Vibrant Azures, Soft Mandarin, Lift Off Yellow, Pulsar Pinks, Lunar Blues, Golden Gold, Crisp Sunburst, Orbit Bronze and Soft Coraline. They come as .XMP presets for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus .DNG versions for older versions of the mobile app.
What kind of photos are the Travel Lightroom Presets made for?
They are made for travel and vacation photos, from street portraits to epic landscapes. The presets brighten images and bring out color and vibrance in blue skies, coral seas and golden landscapes, warm up skin tones and add subtle color toning to the highlights, midtones and shadows.
How do the Travel Lightroom Presets handle skies and harsh shadows?
Outdoor travel photos often have dark shadows and high contrast. These presets lift harsh shadows while protecting bright, sunny highlights, which balances the exposure. Since the sky is the backdrop for so many travel photos, they also brighten skies and enhance their natural crisp, cool blues.
Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?
Yes. A PHLEARN PRO membership includes every Lightroom Preset pack, plus PRO Tutorials, LUTs, Photoshop Actions and Photoshop Brushes.
Which version of Lightroom do I need?
The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.
How do I install Lightroom Presets?
In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.
I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.
The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.
Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?
Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.
Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?
Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.
The preset looks too strong. What do I do?
Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.
Do you offer refunds?
Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
