DESCRIPTION

Add bright whites and soft, springtime pastels to your photos with our Spring Lightroom Preset Pack!

Each preset brightens the darkest areas, and nearly all lower contrast, pull back highlights and raise the whites, making them a fit for garden portraits, blossoms and porch afternoons. After you apply one, add a little Contrast if a cloudy-day photo turns too soft.

One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Spring Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks

Light, Airy Pastels for Spring Portraits

Ten presets that brighten skin, open up shadows and soften color into fresh spring pastels. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

Included – PHLEARN Corn SilkOriginal

Corn Silk

Corn Silk brightens a soft window-light portrait and takes the edge off it. The white peonies turn a creamy ivory, her blouse and blonde hair get lighter and the dusty pink wall behind her goes paler. Highlights come down by 17, which keeps the brightest whites from clipping.

Open Shadows, Bright Whites

Shadows rise by 40, whites by 41 and blacks by 33, while contrast drops by 36. A small lift in the middle of the tone curve brightens the midtones too. Dehaze at -7 adds a slight softness, and the curve also raises the shadows.

Softer Texture and Leaves

Clarity and Texture both go down by 10 for smoother skin, and greens shift toward yellow and lose some color, so stems and leaves stay gentle. A faint yellow tint goes into the shadows, and reds gain a little color.

Best on: children with flowers, white bouquets, and soft indoor portraits by a window.

Included – PHLEARN Minted VanillaOriginal

Minted Vanilla

Minted Vanilla brightens skin and hair without washing them out. Her face gets lighter and fresher, the blonde curls pick up a soft golden glow and the pinks in the floral dress stay clear. Contrast barely moves, rising by only 4.

Brighter Colors Across the Board

Every color range gets lighter, oranges by 30, which lifts skin, while highlights come down by 38 to protect bright hair. Blacks rise by 33 for a light, matte base. Shadows and whites each rise by 14, and the point curve lifts the darker midtones.

A Minty Shift in Greens

Greens move strongly toward aqua and lose about a fifth of their color, giving leaves a cool mint tone, while a faint yellow and orange split tone keeps skin warm. Clarity and Texture each drop by 5 for slightly smoother skin.

Best on: close-up portraits of women, backlit hair, and spring outfits with floral prints.

Included – PHLEARN Sweet ButterOriginal

Sweet Butter

Sweet Butter brightens a sunny porch scene and softens its color. The blue shutters and painted table turn a lighter pastel, the white window frames get cleaner and her skin and auburn hair look warm and fresh. Shadows rise by 21 and contrast eases slightly.

Faded Black Point

The tone curve lifts the black point while the whites rise by 31, so the photo gets brighter and slightly matte. Highlights drop by 38 to keep white paint from clipping. The Blacks slider drops by 17, so the darkest tones keep a little weight.

Butter-Yellow Highlights

A yellow tint goes into the highlights and a light magenta into the shadows, while blues, aquas and greens lose a little color and get lighter. Yellows, purples and magentas also get lighter, and reds gain a little color.

Best on: sunny portraits outdoors, white walls and windows, and cafe or porch photos in spring.

Included – PHLEARN Soft SunshineOriginal

Soft Sunshine

Soft Sunshine brightens the whole photo and opens up every shadow. The gray wall turns a light, warm cream, the straw basket gets brighter and the pink and white peonies stay clear against the floral dress. Oranges and yellows get about 20 points lighter, which keeps skin bright.

Big Lift in Shadows and Whites

Shadows rise by 43 and whites by 48, the dark tones gain 28 on the tone curve and highlights rise too. Blacks drop slightly so the image keeps a little depth. Clarity, Texture and Dehaze each ease down by about 5.

Leaves Turn Yellow-Green

Greens shift strongly toward yellow, lose about half their color and get lighter, so foliage reads soft and sunny instead of deep green. Yellows lean toward orange, and blues lose about a third of their color.

Best on: portraits against plain walls, flower baskets and floral prints, and indoor photos that came out too dark.

Included – PHLEARN Soft PeachOriginal

Soft Peach

Soft Peach lightens a bright portrait and gives it a soft, matte finish. Her pink top turns a gentler blush, her skin gets brighter and the background fades to a pale, airy gray. Whites rise by 29 while highlights drop by 24.

Lifted Blacks and Haze

Blacks rise by 38, shadows by 34 and the tone curve lifts the black point, while Dehaze at -19 adds a light haze. Contrast drops by 25 and vibrance eases down by 7.

Lighter, Pastel Colors

Seven of the eight color ranges get 25 to 33 points lighter, and magentas shift toward red, which turns strong pinks into soft, chalky pastels. A faint yellow tint in the shadows and blue in the highlights keeps the look fresh rather than warm. Greens, aquas and blues also lose about 15 points of color.

Best on: smiling portraits outdoors, pink and pastel clothing, and bright lifestyle photos.

Included – PHLEARN New LilacOriginal

New Lilac

New Lilac lifts the dark tones and adds a lavender haze. The blossoms behind her turn a soft, glowing purple, her dark curls open up into a hazy violet-gray and her skin keeps its warmth. Every color range gets lighter, from 11 points for reds to 31 for purples and magentas.

Low Contrast and Haze

Contrast drops by 48, blacks rise by 46 and Dehaze at -17 adds a soft glow, so the deep shadows in her hair lose their weight. Highlights come down by 42. Shadows rise by 31 and Texture drops by 10 for smoother skin.

Purple and Magenta Glow

A magenta tint goes into the highlights, and purples and magentas get lighter and lean pinker, which gives backlit blossoms their lilac color. Blues shift toward purple, while greens lean toward yellow and lose some color.

Best on: portraits under blossoms or trees, backlit outdoor photos, and spring shots with purple or pink tones.

Lightroom Preset Questions, Answered

What’s included in the Spring Lightroom Presets?

The pack includes 10 presets: Alice Blues, Corn Silk, Cotton Candy, Light Cocoa, Minted Vanilla, New Lilac, Soft Peach, Soft Sunshine, Sweet Butter and Warm Aqua. They come as .XMP presets for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus .DNG versions for older versions of the mobile app.

What kind of look do the Spring Lightroom Presets give?

They add bright whites and soft springtime pastels to your photos, freshening them up with the bright floral tones of spring. The overall feel is light and airy, applied in just a few clicks, and the presets work on both RAW and JPEG photos.

Which Spring presets are shown on this page?

The before-and-after examples show seven of the ten: Alice Blues, which is the featured look, plus Corn Silk, Minted Vanilla, New Lilac, Soft Peach, Soft Sunshine and Sweet Butter. Cotton Candy, Light Cocoa and Warm Aqua are in the download too, so you can compare all ten on your own photos.

Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?

Which version of Lightroom do I need?

The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.

How do I install Lightroom Presets?

In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.

I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.

The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.

Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?

Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.

Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?

Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.

The preset looks too strong. What do I do?

Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.

Do you offer refunds?

Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
