Let It Snow!
Turn any photo into a winter wonderland with our snow Photoshop brush! Custom-made to look like real snow with natural variations in size and shape, this brush helps you create magical winter scenes with just a click.
Whether you want a gentle snowfall or a bustling blizzard, this brush can help you nail the perfect wintry look, and it’s quick and easy to set up.

Before
Why Use a Custom Snow Brush
Real snow falls with natural randomness in size, density, and shape. This brush has that variation built in, so you get realistic-looking snowfall without hand-placing every flake.
Natural Variation Built In
Scattering and transparency jitter are baked into the brush, so each stroke looks a little different from the last, just like real snow.
Works on Any Photo
From a light dusting to a full-on blizzard, this brush adapts to whatever wintry mood you’re going for.
Getting Started
Download the brush and install it in Photoshop, then start painting snow on the included sample image to get a feel for how it behaves before trying it on your own photos.
Painting Realistic Snow
Set the brush’s Flow and Opacity to 100%. All the scattering and transparency variation is already built into the brush, so you don’t need to adjust those settings yourself.
Choose white as your foreground color and paint with the brush. Since real snow is random, create a few layers and paint snow on each one, varying the brush size as you go for a more natural look.
Adding More Variation
For added depth, change the opacity of your different snow layers. Making some snow more visible and some less visible mimics how real snowfall looks at different distances from the camera.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Painting on a Single Layer
One flat layer of snow reads as fake. Spread your snow across a few layers with varied opacity for a more believable, dimensional look.
Skipping the Size Variation
Keeping the brush the same size for every stroke makes the snow look repetitive. Vary the brush size as you paint to mimic flakes at different distances.
What Are Photoshop Brushes?
At its most basic, the Photoshop brush tool is used for drawing lines and shapes in any color on a layer in your document using strokes. After selecting a brush, you can draw simply by clicking the left mouse button a single time, or by holding it down and dragging your cursor around the page to create multiple marks with a single stroke.
Make Every Photo a Winter Scene
With a few layers, some size variation, and the right opacity balance, this brush turns any photo into a snowy scene. Download it, install it, and start adding winter to your work.

Getting the same video for smoke and fog.
Was expecting more from the master brush coarse and the pro lessons. The free brush is cool, thank-you. In the Phlearn basic pro course, there was mention about getting into depth about the brush tool.
Works beautifully creating foreground as well as background snowfall!
