No need to go around setting things on fire, simply add smoke and fog in Photoshop using this custom brush.
To use this brush, we suggest lowering your FLOW to around 30% and layering the smoke or fog in slowly. If you paint too much, choose the Eraser Tool, right-click and choose the same PHLEARN Smoke & Fog Brush and erase away any areas you need.
To choose smoke color, try sampling a light color from the original photo and painting with that color. Also try desaturating the color a bit. Keep in mind that smoke isn’t always white.
To make the smoke lighten the photo, try changing the blending mode of the layer with the smoke to SCREEN or LIGHTEN.
What are Photoshop brushes?

After selecting a brush, you can draw simply by clicking the left mouse button a single time, or by holding it down and dragging your cursor around the page to create multiple marks with a single stroke.
