DESCRIPTION

Bringing a new life into the world usually means capturing a lot of new photos and memories. Help give those images the brightness, warmth, and love they need with our Newborn Lightroom Preset Pack!

The black point rises on all ten for a matte finish, and most open the shadows and reduce Dehaze, made for posed setups, nursery corners and first days at home. After you apply one, lower Temperature or Tint if a baby’s skin looks too red.

One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Newborn Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks

Soft, Warm Light for Newborn Photos

Ten presets that lift the blacks, soften contrast and add gentle warmth to skin in newborn and family photos. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

Included – PHLEARN New IvoryOriginal

New Ivory

New Ivory brightens this posed setup and lifts the shadows, turning the backdrop a soft, warm ivory and bringing out the baby’s skin and dark hair. The dark knitted wrap shows more of its texture. Exposure itself does not change; the extra brightness comes from the tone settings.

Blacks Raised a Lot

Blacks and Shadows go up a lot and Whites rise too, while Contrast gets a small boost so the image stays defined. Clarity and Texture come down a little for softer skin. Highlights barely move, and a slight negative Dehaze softens the frame further.

Brighter, Rosier Skin

Red and orange luminance both rise, so skin gets lighter, and oranges lean slightly toward red for a rosier tone. A small warm white balance shift finishes the look. Yellows get lighter as well, while oranges and yellows each lose a little saturation.

Best on: posed newborn shots on blankets, soft fabric backdrops, and underexposed indoor photos.

Included – PHLEARN Crispy CoconutOriginal

Crispy Coconut

Crispy Coconut adds brightness and a rosy warmth to skin, so the twins’ cheeks look pinker and mom’s hair turns a richer auburn. The white top and gray wraps stay clean against the light headboard. Exposure and white balance stay unchanged.

Lifted Blacks, Brighter Whites

Blacks and Whites both go up and Highlights rise a little, while Contrast and the Shadows slider come down. The frame gets lighter and softer overall. On the tone curve, the shadow and dark regions each rise by 10, softening the deepest tones.

Reds and Oranges Meet in the Middle

Reds shift toward orange while oranges shift toward red and yellows shift strongly toward orange, and reds gain saturation. A red tint in the shadows adds to the rosy feel, and skin gets brighter. Oranges and yellows gain a little saturation too.

Best on: parent and baby close-ups, twins and siblings, and photos with a lot of white or gray fabric.

Included – PHLEARN Pale LinenOriginal

Pale Linen

Pale Linen turns a cool, shadowy nursery scene soft and glowing. The mother’s dark hair and the room open up, the knitted blanket turns creamy, and both mother and baby look warmer. A small warm white balance shift adds to that warmth.

Deep Shadows Opened

Blacks and Shadows are raised a lot and Contrast comes down, so dark hair and corners turn soft instead of heavy. An orange tint in the shadows and a yellow one in the highlights add the warm wash. Highlights come down slightly and Whites rise a little, while Clarity eases back.

Lighter Reds and Oranges

Red and orange luminance rise a lot, which brightens skin, and oranges gain a little saturation. Blues get lighter too, softening her blue top. Reds lean toward orange and oranges lean slightly toward red, and Vibrance rises by 7.

Best on: quiet nursery moments, window-lit mother and baby photos, and dark images that need a gentle lift.

Included – PHLEARN Milky GlowOriginal

Milky Glow

Milky Glow brightens and softens this close-up of a sleeping baby and mother, so their skin turns lighter and creamier. The white onesie and sheets look clean and milky, and the dark hair softens. Exposure and white balance are left unchanged.

A Light, Hazy Base

Whites, Shadows and Blacks all go up while Highlights and Contrast come down, and a negative Dehaze adds a soft haze over the whole frame that keeps the light gentle. Clarity and Texture are not touched, so the softness comes from tone and haze alone.

Lighter Warm Tones

Reds, oranges and yellows get brighter with no change to their saturation, which lightens skin while keeping its natural color. A faint yellow-green tint sits in the shadows. Blues get lighter too, and Vibrance rises by 7.

Best on: close-ups of sleeping babies, skin that looks heavy or dark in the original, and soft bedtime portraits.

Included – PHLEARN Pale OakOriginal

Pale Oak

Pale Oak adds a soft, rosy warmth to this bright portrait. The white background stays clean, mom’s beige sweater and the baby’s skin look warm, and her lips and cheeks pick up a little more pink. Contrast, exposure and white balance stay unchanged.

Highlights and Whites Brought Down

Highlights and Whites are lowered while Shadows and Blacks lift, and Dehaze comes down a lot for a soft, airy haze. Bright window light stays under control. On the tone curve, the dark region drops by 30 while the highlight region rises by 20.

Rosy Highlights, Muted Yellows

A red tint goes into the highlights and reds get much brighter, while yellows shift toward orange and lose some saturation, so the scene reads rosy rather than yellow. Oranges lean slightly toward red, and a faint gold tint sits in the shadows.

Best on: high-key mother and baby portraits, white studio or bedroom backgrounds, and bright window light.

Lightroom Preset Questions, Answered

What’s included in the Newborn Lightroom Presets?

The Newborn Lightroom Presets include 10 presets: Divine Lace, Milky Glow, Pale Linen, Daisy White, Rose Candy, New Ivory, Crispy Coconut, Soft Peach, Warm Pearl and Pale Oak. They come as .XMP presets for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus .DNG versions for older versions of the mobile app.

What kind of photos are the Newborn Lightroom Presets made for?

Photos of newborns and the new memories that come with a baby. The presets lift shadows, reduce contrast and add subtle color toning that helps skin look clean and warm, so newborns look soft and cozy. The aim is to give these early photos brightness and warmth. They work on both RAW and JPEG photos.

Which Newborn Lightroom Presets are shown on this page?

The before-and-after examples show Pale Linen, the featured look, along with Crispy Coconut, Milky Glow, New Ivory, Pale Oak and Soft Peach. That’s 6 of the 10 presets in the pack, so you can compare several looks side by side before choosing one.

Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?

Which version of Lightroom do I need?

The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.

How do I install Lightroom Presets?

In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.

I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.

The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.

Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?

Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.

Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?

Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.

The preset looks too strong. What do I do?

Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.

Do you offer refunds?

Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
