DESCRIPTION

Help your friends, family, and clients look their very best with our Portrait Lightroom Presets! Reduce harsh shadows and give skin a soft, warm glow in a variety of color toning styles.

Nearly every preset opens the shadows and raises the black point, and most lower Dehaze, making them a fit for headshots, family sessions and close outdoor portraits. After you apply one, set Temperature to suit the skin tone and the light you shot in.

One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Portrait Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks

Soft, Warm Skin Tones for Portraits

Ten presets made for people that brighten skin, soften shadows and add gentle warmth. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

Included – PHLEARN Chai LatteOriginal

Chai Latte

Chai Latte brightens the face and softens the shadows in the beard and denim shirt. His skin picks up a light, warm tone and the blurred office background stays airy, so the portrait feels friendly and open. Exposure and white balance stay unchanged, so the warmth comes from color and tint.

Lifted Blacks, Brighter Whites

Blacks and shadows lift a lot and whites go up while highlights come down, so the photo gets lighter without bright areas clipping. A yellow tint goes into the highlights and a light blue one into the shadows. Contrast and dehaze rise slightly to keep some shape.

Warm Skin, Calmer Blues

Reds and oranges gain a little color and get brighter, while greens, aquas and blues are muted, so the face stands out from cooler surroundings. Greens also get much lighter, and yellows lose some saturation.

Best on: headshots, business portraits, and men with gray or salt-and-pepper hair.

Included – PHLEARN Sand BeigeOriginal

Sand Beige

Sand Beige lifts the deep shadows and gives dark skin a soft, warm glow. Her face and shoulder look smoother and brighter, while the lips and curls keep their color and detail against the gray backdrop. The white balance warms slightly, and exposure does not change.

A Big Drop in Contrast

Contrast comes down further than in any other preset in this pack, and the shadows and lighter midtones are raised. Texture is reduced slightly, which smooths skin without blurring it. Highlights and whites ease down, and dehaze and clarity drop a little.

Richer Lips and Skin

Reds get much brighter and oranges gain a little color, while yellows are muted, so lipstick and skin read warm and healthy rather than yellow. Yellows also shift toward orange, and faint yellow tints go into the shadows and highlights.

Best on: beauty and studio portraits, darker skin tones, and close-ups against gray backdrops.

Included – PHLEARN Honey BeigeOriginal

Honey Beige

Honey Beige makes the whole portrait a little brighter and warmer. Her skin turns a healthy peach, the silver hair stays clean, and the soft background keeps attention on her smile and blue eyes. Exposure and white balance do not change, so the warmth comes from the tints.

Bright Tones, Raised Blacks

Blacks and shadows lift, highlights and whites nudge up, and contrast rises a bit, so the photo brightens while keeping some shape. Texture and dehaze are eased back for softer skin. The tone curve also lifts the brightest highlights a little.

Honey-Toned Warmth

A yellow tint goes into the shadows and an orange one into the highlights, and yellows get much lighter, which gives skin and light hair a soft honey glow. Reds gain a little saturation, and yellows shift slightly toward orange.

Best on: portraits of older adults, natural-light headshots, and relaxed indoor sessions at home.

Included – PHLEARN Rose BeigeOriginal

Rose Beige

Rose Beige opens up the dark shadows around the face and hair. Her skin takes on a soft, rosy warmth, the brown bangs show more detail and the lower contrast makes this close-up feel gentle and fresh. It is the only preset in the pack that changes exposure.

Softer Clarity, Open Shadows

Blacks and shadows lift and whites brighten, while clarity and dehaze come down for a slightly softer, smoother finish. A yellow tint goes into the highlights and a light blue one into the shadows. On the tone curve, the darks and the brightest highlights rise as well.

Rosy, Not Orange

Reds gain color and get darker while oranges are muted but brightened, so cheeks and lips look rosy while skin stays light and natural. Reds also shift toward orange, and yellows gain a little color but get darker.

Best on: kids and family portraits, close-ups, and photos taken in dim indoor light.

Included – PHLEARN Warm BeigeOriginal

Warm Beige

Warm Beige turns a cool, gray studio shot warm and bright. The gray background becomes a soft cream, her skin goes a sunny tan, and the white dress and veil stay clean and bright. Exposure does not change, so the brightening comes from the tone settings.

The Warmest White Balance in the Pack

Temperature moves further toward warm here than in any other preset in this pack. Blacks lift a lot and whites go up, so the whole photo brightens with soft, low contrast. Highlights come down a little, shadows lift, and dehaze is eased back for a softer look.

Golden, Glowing Skin

Oranges gain saturation and get brighter, and reds and yellows lighten too, giving skin and blond hair a golden glow that suits soft studio light. Yellows lose some saturation, and oranges lean slightly toward red.

Best on: bridal and wedding portraits, bright studio work, and photos with cool, flat light.

One Warm Look for the Whole Feed

The Portrait pack brings a grid of different faces, ages and lighting into one warm, gentle set. In the feed, skin across the portraits turns a little brighter and warmer while backgrounds stay clean. Five of the presets warm the white balance, and none of them add grain or a vignette.

Every Preset Brightens Skin

All ten presets lighten oranges, the color range Lightroom uses for skin, and nudge them slightly toward red for a healthy tone. Nine of them lift the blacks, so shadows on faces stay soft instead of heavy. Nine also open up the shadows, and eight ease dehaze back.

Light Warm Toning

Eight add a yellow or orange tint to the highlights, which warms skin without a heavy color cast. Reds gain saturation in eight of the ten, and nine make yellows lighter.

Best on: client galleries, headshot sets, and profile grids full of friends and family.

Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?

Which version of Lightroom do I need?

The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.

How do I install Lightroom Presets?

In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.

I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.

The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.

Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?

Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.

Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?

Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.

The preset looks too strong. What do I do?

Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.

Do you offer refunds?

Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
