How to Install Your LUTs
A short PDF that walks you through loading this pack in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro, plus two tips for better results.
DESCRIPTION
Add shimmering golden tones to your photos with our Sweet Caramel color-grading LUTs!
Four of the five warm the midtones and shift greens toward yellow, with Cinnamon Bay and Light Honey giving the whites a faint warm tint and Matte Honey lifting the blacks; Deep Cedar stays neutral and brightens the midtones and colors the most. After you apply one, lower the layer opacity in Photoshop or the LUT intensity in your video app if the look is too strong.
One zip holds the 5 LUTs as .CUBE files for Photoshop’s Color Lookup, the same 5 in .3DL, .CSP, .CUBE and .ICC for video and other apps, plus 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Sweet Caramel LUTs · 5 Looks
Honey, Copper and Caramel Warmth
Five LUTs that add richer reds, oranges and yellows and a warm honey tone to skin, hair and fabric. They work on photos and video in Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop.

Matte Honey
Matte Honey spreads a warm honey tone through this misty walk. The pale sky goes a creamy off-white, the camel and cream coats turn richer, the dry grass warms up, and her jeans read a deeper navy. It has the darkest midtones in the pack.
Faded Black, Darker Shadows
Pure black lifts to about 10% gray for a soft matte base, while dark tones drop from 25% to about 20%. Midtones pick up a light orange cast and come down a little, to 44%, and whites stay clean.
A Little More Color All Around
Reds, oranges and yellows gain more saturation, about 10 to 20%, and greens gain a little, without getting brighter. Skin turns a warmer, richer tan, and light skin gains more richness here than with any other LUT in the pack. Deep skin also turns richer and a little darker.
Best on: couples walking outdoors, fall fashion and foggy or overcast days.

Light Honey
Light Honey brightens this shaded portrait and adds a warm golden glow. Her skin and curls lighten and pick up honey tones, the brick background turns a softer peach, and the white turtleneck stays clean. Contrast stays close to the original.
Lifted Shadows With a Golden Cast
Pure black lifts to about 7% gray and a 50% gray to about 57%, with a warm orange cast through the shadows and midtones and a slighter warmth in the highlights. The whole frame gets brighter without clipping the whites.
Deeper Skin Brightened
Deep skin tones come out noticeably lighter and warmer, and light skin brightens and warms a little too. Oranges gain about a tenth more saturation and yellows a little, while reds hold steady. Blues lose about a third of their color, the most in the pack, and purples about a fifth.
Best on: close-up portraits, darker skin tones and city portraits in shade.

Deep Cedar
Deep Cedar turns the tall grass in this field portrait a glowing copper-pink. The whole frame gets brighter, her skin warms up, and the white shirt stays crisp, so the scene feels like the last light of the day. It adds the most contrast in the pack.
Brighter Highlights, Mostly Neutral Grays
A 75% gray rises to about 90% and a 50% gray to about 59%, so bright areas open up a lot. The midtones and highlights stay neutral, with only a slight warmth in the shadows.
Saturation Up by About a Fifth
Reds, oranges and yellows gain about a fifth more saturation and get lighter, and aquas gain the most, about a quarter, while getting lighter too. Overall it adds more color than any other LUT in the pack. Light skin comes out much brighter, and deep skin gains a lot of richness.
Best on: field and meadow portraits, golden hour and boho fashion.

Cinnamon Bay
Cinnamon Bay warms this outdoor portrait from top to bottom. The green brush behind her turns a golden olive, her skin picks up a sun-warmed glow, and the pink floral top and her dark hair keep their depth. Of the five LUTs, it changes tone the least.
An Orange Cast, Same Brightness
Every gray from shadow to highlight takes on a light orange cast while staying nearly as bright as before. Contrast and exposure barely change, so the shift is in color, not tone.
Greens Pushed Toward Gold
Greens lose about a seventh of their saturation and shift toward yellow, while reds and oranges gain about 16 to 21%. Yellows hold their saturation and lean toward orange, and blues, purples and magentas lose about a tenth. Plants read golden, and light and deep skin both turn about a third richer.
Best on: outdoor portraits in fields or gardens, and happy candid moments.

Rich Rust & Camel
This look pulls a fall outfit into one cozy palette. The rust teddy coat turns deeper and richer, the camel hat and knit warm up, the pale sky behind her goes a soft cream, and her skin picks up a peachy warmth.
Warm Colors Made Richer
Every LUT in this pack adds saturation to oranges and yellows, and four of the five do the same for reds, which is what deepens rust and camel tones. Pair them with brown, orange or tan clothing for the fullest effect.
Cream Background, Warm Skin
Bright areas like the sky and building facades soften into warm cream instead of cool white, and skin sits naturally inside the same palette as the clothing. Four of the five LUTs add warmth to the highlights, while Deep Cedar keeps them neutral. All five make deep skin noticeably richer.
Best on: fall and winter fashion, city portraits and warm-toned outfits.

Medium Copper
Medium Copper warms this coastal portrait toward copper. Her hair and the cliffs behind pick up richer orange-brown tones, the scene gets a little brighter, and the black and white sweater keeps its contrast against the water. It is the only LUT in the pack with a strong warm cast in the shadows.
Copper Cast in the Shadows
The shadows and midtones take on an orange cast while pure black stays black and the highlights pick up only a slight warmth. Midtones brighten a little, from 50% to about 54%.
Softer Blues, Warmer Skin
Blues lose about a fifth of their saturation, so the sky stays a soft blue instead of a strong one. Reds, oranges and yellows gain about 6 to 16%, warming skin and hair. Deep skin gains about a third more richness, and light skin turns slightly richer.
Best on: coastal portraits, natural hair and outdoor shoots in cool evening light.

LUT Questions, Answered
What’s included in the Sweet Caramel LUTs?
The pack has 5 LUTs: Cinnamon Bay, Deep Cedar, Light Honey, Matte Honey and Medium Copper. Each LUT comes as .CUBE, .3DL, .CSP and .ICC files, so it works in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and most other editors.
What kind of photos are the Sweet Caramel LUTs made for?
They are made for warm, cozy and comfortable scenes. The LUTs add shimmering golden tones and the warm colors of honey, copper and caramel to your images. Light Honey is the featured look on this page.
Can I use the Sweet Caramel LUTs on video?
Yes. The pack is built for both photos and videos. Compatible apps include Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and LumaFusion on iOS, as well as Photoshop and Lightroom Classic for photos.
Are LUTs included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?
Yes. A PHLEARN PRO membership includes every LUT pack, plus PRO Tutorials, Lightroom Presets, Photoshop Actions and Photoshop Brushes.
Which programs do the LUTs work in?
Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Lightroom Classic and most other photo and video editors. Use the .CUBE file unless your software asks for .3DL, .CSP or .ICC.
How do I use a LUT in Photoshop?
Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Lookup, open the 3DLUT File menu in the Properties panel, choose Load 3D LUT and pick a .CUBE file from the Photoshop Quick Install folder. Set the strength with the layer’s Opacity.
How do I install LUTs in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro?
The PDF install guide in your download has a page for each one, and every step for every program is on our How to Install LUTs page.
The LUT looks too strong. What do I do?
Turn it down: lower the layer Opacity in Photoshop, the Intensity slider in Premiere Pro or the Mix slider in Final Cut Pro. In DaVinci Resolve, reduce Key Output Gain for that node.
Should I correct my photo before adding a LUT?
Yes. Set exposure and white balance first, then add the LUT on top. A LUT grades color; it does not correct it.
My LUTs don’t show up in DaVinci Resolve.
Skipping Update Lists is the usual reason. Open Project Settings > Color Management, click Update Lists, then Save.
Do you offer refunds?
Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
