DESCRIPTION

Bring out the fiery reds, golds, and oranges of Halloween in your photos and videos! Designed to lift shadows, warm up skin tones, and enhance images with the colors of ripe pumpkins, changing leaves, and soft sunsets.

All five keep clean whites, warm the midtones toward orange and shift greens toward yellow: Vibrant Yam adds the most saturation and brightens colors, Burnt Clay enriches skin, reds and yellows, Old Gold lifts the blacks a touch, and Soft Spice pushes yellows toward orange. After you apply one, lower the layer opacity in Photoshop or the LUT intensity in your video app if the look is too strong.

One zip holds the 5 LUTs as .CUBE files for Photoshop’s Color Lookup, the same 5 in .3DL, .CSP, .CUBE and .ICC for video and other apps, plus 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Halloween LUTs · 5 Looks

Rich Orange and Gold Autumn Color

Five LUTs that add an orange cast to the midtones for warm, cozy fall color in portraits and home scenes. They work on photos and video in Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop.

Burnt Clay

Burnt Clay deepens the oranges and darkens the middle of the frame for a cozy indoor look. The pumpkins turn a richer red-orange, and the mustard sweater goes a deeper gold against the gray cardigan. It is the darkest and highest-contrast look in this pack.

Darker Midtones, Steady Highlights

Middle gray drops from 50 to about 42 percent while the white point stays put, so the scene gets heavier without losing the bright tabletop. A light orange cast sits in the midtones, while the shadows and highlights stay neutral.

Reds, Oranges and Yellows Turn Up

Reds and oranges gain about a quarter more saturation and yellows about an eighth, and all three get a little darker, with oranges leaning toward red. Skin warms noticeably toward orange, so keep an eye on faces in close portraits.

Best on: pumpkin carving, kitchen and table scenes, and indoor fall photos with friends and family.

Vibrant Yam

Vibrant Yam turns up the color of autumn across the whole frame. The fallen leaves and flowers behind her glow a stronger orange, her hair picks up a coppery tone, and the cream sweater stays light. It adds more color than any other LUT in this pack.

Saturation Across Every Color

Every color range gains saturation, from about a tenth more in aquas to more than a third in reds and oranges, with yellows close to a quarter. Darker grays get a bit darker and lighter grays a bit lighter, which adds gentle contrast, while middle gray stays at 50 percent.

Warmer, Sun-Kissed Skin

An orange cast in the midtones warms skin toward a tanned, golden tone. Light skin keeps its brightness while deeper skin turns richer and redder, gaining the most color of any skin tone in the pack.

Best on: outdoor fall portraits, pumpkin patch photos and leaf-covered scenes with lots of warm color.

Soft Spice

Soft Spice warms a scene through tone more than through saturation. The wood cabinets turn a deeper brown, the pumpkin pie gets richer, and the white tiles and gray apron pick up a faint warm cast. Contrast softens slightly as the tones settle lower.

Yellows Lean Toward Orange

Yellows shift about 25 degrees toward orange, get much darker and lose about a fifth of their saturation, and oranges lean toward red and darken too. Overall saturation drops only slightly, so the color reads as spiced rather than loud.

A Darker, Cozier Kitchen

Midtones and upper midtones come down, with middle gray falling from 50 to about 44 percent and 75 percent gray falling to 70, while blacks and whites hold. A clear orange cast sits in the midtones. Skin gets a little darker and warmer, which suits indoor scenes.

Best on: baking and cooking photos, kitchens and home interiors, and holiday prep shots indoors.

Old Gold

Old Gold wraps the frame in warm, golden light. The blurred background turns a soft amber, the orange vest and little pumpkin look richer, and the boy’s skin picks up a sunlit glow. It is the only LUT in this pack that lifts the blacks.

Lifted Blacks, Golden Midtones

Pure black lifts to about 4 percent, giving shadows a soft, slightly faded finish. An orange cast sits in the midtones while pure whites stay neutral. Middle gray stays close to 50 percent and contrast eases slightly.

Warm Colors Up, Blues Down

Yellows, oranges and reds gain about 10 to 20 percent more saturation and get a touch brighter, while blues lose about 15 percent of their color. Cool details settle back so the warm subject leads. Both light and deep skin gain about a third more color.

Best on: kids holding pumpkins, close portraits with blurry backgrounds, and late-afternoon light outdoors.

Crisp Mustard

Crisp Mustard pushes a sunny scene toward gold. The boy’s red hair turns a fiery orange, the backlit background warms up, and the white shirt and lace collar stay clean against the warmer tones. Contrast softens slightly while middle gray holds near 50 percent.

An Even Orange Cast

A gentle orange cast runs from the shadows through the upper midtones, strongest in the mids, while true blacks and whites stay neutral. Yellows shift a few degrees toward orange and gain a little saturation, and oranges gain about a tenth and lean toward red.

Skin Keeps Its Brightness

Light skin turns warmer and only slightly darker, and deep skin holds its tone with a touch more color. Blues lose some color and purples a little, so denim and sky stay calm, while aquas lean toward green.

Best on: candid photos of kids, backlit portraits in late sun, and family moments outdoors in fall.

LUT Questions, Answered

What’s included in the Halloween Tone LUTs?

The pack includes 5 LUTs: Burnt Clay, Crisp Mustard, Old Gold, Soft Spice and Vibrant Yam. Each LUT comes as .CUBE, .3DL, .CSP and .ICC files, so it works in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and most other editors.

What kind of look do the Halloween Tone LUTs give?

They bring out the fiery reds, golds and oranges of Halloween in photos and videos. The LUTs lift shadows, warm up skin tones and brighten the image, enhancing colors like ripe pumpkins, changing leaves and soft sunsets. The featured look on the page is Soft Spice.

When are the Halloween Tone LUTs most useful?

They are made for photos and videos you capture outdoors during your Halloween festivities. They are designed to brighten images while enhancing the natural colors of the season, so they fit autumn scenes with pumpkins, fall leaves and sunset light.

Are LUTs included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?

Which programs do the LUTs work in?

Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Lightroom Classic and most other photo and video editors. Use the .CUBE file unless your software asks for .3DL, .CSP or .ICC.

How do I use a LUT in Photoshop?

Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Lookup, open the 3DLUT File menu in the Properties panel, choose Load 3D LUT and pick a .CUBE file from the Photoshop Quick Install folder. Set the strength with the layer’s Opacity.

How do I install LUTs in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro?

The PDF install guide in your download has a page for each one, and every step for every program is on our How to Install LUTs page.

The LUT looks too strong. What do I do?

Turn it down: lower the layer Opacity in Photoshop, the Intensity slider in Premiere Pro or the Mix slider in Final Cut Pro. In DaVinci Resolve, reduce Key Output Gain for that node.

Should I correct my photo before adding a LUT?

Yes. Set exposure and white balance first, then add the LUT on top. A LUT grades color; it does not correct it.

My LUTs don’t show up in DaVinci Resolve.

Skipping Update Lists is the usual reason. Open Project Settings > Color Management, click Update Lists, then Save.

Do you offer refunds?

Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
