How to Install Your Presets
A short PDF that walks you through installing this pack in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus three tips for better results.
DESCRIPTION
Give your photos a sun-kissed look with our Tropical Lightroom Preset Pack! Designed add bright and fresh lighting, warm skin tones, and rich contrast to any landscape, travel, or vacation photo.
All ten pull back the highlights, brighten the shadows and lower saturation, and most bring the whites down, a good match for island boat rides, shaded garden portraits and turquoise coves. After you apply one, add a little Vibrance if the water looks too pale.
One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Tropical Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks
Open Shadows, Calm Greens, Warm Skin
Ten presets that lift shadows, tame strong greens and keep skin bright for beaches, palms and travel. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

One Getaway Look for the Whole Feed
The Tropical pack is ten presets made for travel and vacation photos. Across the feed, shadows open up, jungle greens calm down and water and sky lean toward a clean turquoise, so a set of beaches, palms and portraits reads as one fresh look. Overall saturation comes down slightly in all ten, and only three warm the white balance.
Shadows Lifted in Every Preset
Every preset in the pack lifts the shadows and pulls the highlights down, so faces under palm leaves and bright white sand both hold detail. Blacks lift in eight of the ten, and whites come down in eight.
Greens Toned Down
Every preset lowers green saturation, and nine presets brighten oranges, so tropical leaves step back while skin stays warm and glowing. Greens also get darker in nine presets.
Best on: island and beach trips, palms and jungle portraits, and summer travel feeds.

Green Gulf
Green Gulf turns the sea a greener teal and softens the blue of the sky, giving the scene an airy, sun-washed feel. The wooden boat and the couple’s skin keep their warm color. Contrast rises by 21, and overall saturation drops by 9.
Water Shifted Toward Green
Aquas shift toward green and blues toward aqua, and blues lose a little saturation. That turns clear blue water into a tropical green-teal. Greens also shift slightly toward aqua.
Whites Pulled Way Down
Whites come down very hard and highlights are lowered too, while shadows and blacks lift. Bright sand and white shirts keep their texture, and the white balance warms slightly. The tone curve lifts the shadows and darks as well. Greens lose some saturation and yellows darken, so the jungle on the cliff stays in the background.
Best on: beach and island scenes, couples on vacation, and boats and coastlines.

Pale Parsnip
Pale Parsnip brightens her skin to a warmer peach and softens the leaf shadows across her face. The deep green palm fronds fade to a muted sage, and the result is warm and gentle. White balance does not change, so the warmth comes from the orange adjustments.
Greens Muted to Sage
Greens lose a lot of saturation and shift toward yellow, and yellows get much darker while gaining a little saturation. Strong green backgrounds quiet down so the face leads, and overall vibrance and saturation also come down a little.
Soft Light on Skin
Highlights drop hard, shadows lift, and contrast, clarity and texture all come down for a smooth finish. Whites come down by 29, and reds get lighter. The tone curve brightens the midtones and caps the whites, while oranges gain color and brightness.
Best on: close-up portraits in dappled light, tropical plants and palms, and beauty shots.

Crisp Coraline
Crisp Coraline turns the deep blue sky a light aqua and lightens the sea and the patterned sarong toward teal. Her skin stays warm against all that cool color. White balance does not change, and vibrance comes down by 10.
Sky Toward Aqua
Blues shift toward aqua and lose some saturation, while aquas lean slightly toward blue, so sky and sea meet in the same soft turquoise. Greens lose a lot of color and shift toward yellow, and overall saturation comes down a little. Yellows gain a little saturation.
Bright Mids, Capped Whites
The tone curve brightens the midtones and holds the whites below pure white, and highlights come down while shadows lift. Dehaze adds clarity to the horizon, and oranges get much brighter. A light vignette darkens the edges, and contrast eases by 10.
Best on: beach shots with lots of sky, flowing fabric and movement, swimwear, and sunny travel photos.

Lightroom Preset Questions, Answered
What’s included in the Tropical Lightroom Presets?
The pack has 10 presets: Mint Glory, Grassy Meadow, Deep Agate, Ethereal Bronze, Warm Tangy, Pale Parsnip, Crisp Coraline, Green Gulf, Soft Glow and Balsam Gold. They come as .XMP presets for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus .DNG versions for older versions of the mobile app.
What kind of photos are the Tropical Lightroom Presets made for?
They are made for landscape, travel and vacation photos of beaches, forests and water. The presets lift shadows, add bright, fresh lighting and rich contrast, and put coral tones into the shadows and midtones for a sun-kissed look.
How do the Tropical Lightroom Presets treat skin tones?
They keep skin looking warm and natural. Instead of pushing blues or greens into skin, which can look unnatural, they enhance the natural reds and oranges in skin tones and add blues to the shadows for color and contrast.
Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?
Yes. A PHLEARN PRO membership includes every Lightroom Preset pack, plus PRO Tutorials, LUTs, Photoshop Actions and Photoshop Brushes.
Which version of Lightroom do I need?
The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.
How do I install Lightroom Presets?
In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.
I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.
The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.
Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?
Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.
Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?
Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.
The preset looks too strong. What do I do?
Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.
Do you offer refunds?
Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
