How to Install Your LUTs
A short PDF that walks you through loading this pack in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro, plus two tips for better results.
DESCRIPTION
Soft lighting. Pastel colors. Beautiful looks. If you’re a wedding photographer or videographer, these Soft Wedding LUTs are the perfect addition to your editing toolbox.
All five brighten the shadows and midtones and mute the colors: Crispy Lily softens the whites the most and fades yellows strongly, Muted Lotus lifts the blacks and makes skin rosier, Soft Peony adds a faint lavender tint, and Light Snowdrop stays close to neutral. After you apply one, lower the layer opacity in Photoshop or the LUT intensity in your video app if the look is too strong.
One zip holds the 5 LUTs as .CUBE files for Photoshop’s Color Lookup, the same 5 in .3DL, .CSP, .CUBE and .ICC for video and other apps, plus 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Soft Wedding LUTs · 5 Looks
Bright, Airy Tones for Wedding Days
Five LUTs that lift the shadows and midtones while keeping greys neutral, for a bright, airy wedding look. They work on photos and video in Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop.

Crispy Lily
Crispy Lily brightens a dark bouquet and calms its color. The deep burgundy and magenta flowers turn softer, the peach roses get paler, and the table and wrapping behind them go light and airy. It mutes color more than any other look in the pack.
Shadows Opened Wide
The 25% gray jumps to about 41% and middle gray to about 61%, while the brightest whites come down slightly to about 91%, the lowest in the pack. The result is a low-contrast, matte finish with a faint magenta tint in the shadows.
Yellows and Oranges Fade
Yellows lose nearly two thirds of their saturation and oranges more than half, and both get much lighter. Reds, greens and blues lose about a quarter, and magentas hold the most color. Light skin turns paler and pinker, so check faces in close portraits.
Best on: bouquets and flower details, overhead shots of decor, and dark wedding details that need a lighter feel.

Light Snowdrop
Light Snowdrop opens up a bright indoor portrait. The white gown, sofa and walls get lighter and cleaner, and the groom’s navy suit and the shadows around the couple soften. It has the lowest contrast in the pack.
A Large Lift in the Midtones
Middle gray rises from 50% to about 64% and the 25% gray to about 43%, so shadows on faces and fabric lighten. Black stays at pure black. Whites stop at about 97%, which keeps bright walls from clipping, and midtone contrast drops by nearly a third.
Softer Color Throughout
Every color loses roughly a quarter to a third of its saturation as it gets lighter, with yellows, oranges, blues and reds muted most and aquas and magentas least. Flowers and skin turn softer and paler, and deep skin lightens strongly. Grays stay neutral throughout.
Best on: bride and groom portraits indoors, white rooms and furniture, and photos with lots of white fabric.

Muted Lotus
Muted Lotus fades the darkest tones and brightens a close, laughing moment. The groom’s dark suit lifts to a soft gray, the bride’s skin gets lighter, and the white flower and dress stay clean. It lifts the blacks more than any other look in the pack.
Blacks Lifted Into a Fade
The darkest tones rise from 3% to about 19% with a faint red tint, so nothing reaches true black. Middle gray climbs to about 60% while whites stay at full brightness. Midtone contrast drops by about a quarter, and the midtones and highlights stay neutral.
Softer Yellows and Greens
Yellows lose about half their saturation and greens and oranges about a third, and reds lean toward magenta. Magentas and purples hold their color best. Skin turns lighter and a little pinker for a pastel feel.
Best on: close, laughing moments between couples, getting-ready shots, and outdoor wedding portraits in shade.

Soft Peony
Soft Peony makes a close bridal portrait bright and gentle. The dark background lifts to a soft taupe, the lace veil turns clean and white, and her skin looks smooth and light. It brightens the midtones more than any other look in the pack.
Bright From Shadows to Highlights
The 25% gray rises to about 44%, middle gray to about 65% and the 75% gray to about 82%, with a slight cool magenta tint in the shadows and midtones. Contrast drops by about a quarter while whites stay at full brightness and highlights stay neutral.
Softer Color, Pinker Reds
Every color loses some saturation as it brightens, oranges about a third and magentas only about a tenth, so pinks hold up best. Reds shift a little toward pink, which suits blush makeup. Light and deep skin turn lighter, softer and slightly pinker.
Best on: close-up bridal portraits, veils and lace, and detail shots of the dress.

Sweet Ivory
Sweet Ivory lightens a getting-ready scene and settles its color. The pink robes become a soft blush, the white room and bedding look airy, and the bridesmaids’ skin stays warm and natural. Midtone contrast drops by about a quarter.
An Even Saturation Drop
Every color range keeps roughly 70 to 80 percent of its saturation, so the whole palette quiets down together without any one hue shifting or standing out. Blues and reds lose a little more, aquas a little less, and every color gets lighter.
Lifted Blacks, Gentle Whites
Blacks rise from 3% to about 12% and middle gray to about 60%, while whites settle at about 98%. Grays stay neutral, so white walls, bedding and robes stay clean. Light skin changes only a little, while deep skin lightens noticeably and loses about a third of its color.
Best on: bridal party and getting-ready photos, morning shots in white rooms, and groups in pink or blush.

LUT Questions, Answered
What’s included in the Soft Wedding LUTs?
The pack has 5 LUTs: Crispy Lily, Light Snowdrop, Muted Lotus, Soft Peony and Sweet Ivory. Each LUT comes as .CUBE, .3DL, .CSP and .ICC files, so it works in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and most other editors.
What kind of photos are the Soft Wedding LUTs made for?
Wedding photos and videos, for photographers and videographers alike. The looks are built around soft lighting and pastel colors: they get rid of harsh shadows and give colors a creamy, pastel feel, a light touch for remembering some of the most special days. Crispy Lily is the featured look on this page.
How do the Soft Wedding LUTs handle white clothing?
They are designed to help white clothing look clean and bright, which matters on a wedding day. At the same time they get rid of harsh shadows and keep colors creamy and pastel, so whites stay bright without the scene looking harsh. This works the same way on photos and on video.
Are LUTs included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?
Yes. A PHLEARN PRO membership includes every LUT pack, plus PRO Tutorials, Lightroom Presets, Photoshop Actions and Photoshop Brushes.
Which programs do the LUTs work in?
Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Lightroom Classic and most other photo and video editors. Use the .CUBE file unless your software asks for .3DL, .CSP or .ICC.
How do I use a LUT in Photoshop?
Choose Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Lookup, open the 3DLUT File menu in the Properties panel, choose Load 3D LUT and pick a .CUBE file from the Photoshop Quick Install folder. Set the strength with the layer’s Opacity.
How do I install LUTs in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro?
The PDF install guide in your download has a page for each one, and every step for every program is on our How to Install LUTs page.
The LUT looks too strong. What do I do?
Turn it down: lower the layer Opacity in Photoshop, the Intensity slider in Premiere Pro or the Mix slider in Final Cut Pro. In DaVinci Resolve, reduce Key Output Gain for that node.
Should I correct my photo before adding a LUT?
Yes. Set exposure and white balance first, then add the LUT on top. A LUT grades color; it does not correct it.
My LUTs don’t show up in DaVinci Resolve.
Skipping Update Lists is the usual reason. Open Project Settings > Color Management, click Update Lists, then Save.
Do you offer refunds?
Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
