How to Install Your Presets
A short PDF that walks you through installing this pack in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus three tips for better results.
DESCRIPTION
Add some drama to your indoor photographs with our Moody Indoor Lightroom Preset Pack. Designed to add contrast, darken shadows, and add texture and definition to your images.
All ten raise Contrast and pull the highlights down, and most deepen the shadows and add Dehaze, a good fit for bedroom portraits, reading corners and rainy afternoons at home. After you apply one, bring Exposure up if a face falls into shadow.
One zip holds the 10 presets as .xmp files, which work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on your computer and Lightroom on your phone, plus .dng versions for older releases of the mobile app, each in its own labeled folder, with 4 sample images to practice on and the PDF install guide.

Moody Indoor Lightroom Presets · 10 Looks
Deeper, Richer Tones for Window Light
Ten presets that add contrast and depth to photos taken indoors in window light. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on desktop and mobile.

Felted Wool
Felted Wool adds weight and texture to a bright, airy room. The dark checks in the plaid blanket turn deeper and bolder, the white knit sweater keeps its detail and the pale walls settle down a step. Exposure drops by about an eighth of a stop.
Clarity and Darker Darks
Contrast, clarity and texture all go up and the darker midtones are pulled down on the curve, which brings out the weave in fabric. Highlights and whites come down so bright walls and white clothing don’t glare. A little dehaze adds depth, while the shadows and blacks lift slightly.
Lighter Warm Tones
Reds, oranges and yellows get a little brighter and slightly less saturated, and oranges lean toward red, so skin and tan wool stay clean rather than brassy. There is no vignette or color tint.
Best on: cozy home portraits, textured fabrics and knits, and bright rooms that look a little flat.

Soft Silvermist
Soft Silvermist deepens a soft window portrait without losing its calm. The red hair turns a richer, deeper copper, the shadows inside it get darker and the teal sweater settles into a deeper tone. Exposure does not change, and the white balance warms only very slightly.
Deeper Blacks, Brighter Whites
Contrast goes up, blacks and shadows are pulled down and whites rise, while highlights come down so the window keeps its detail. A dark vignette frames the subject and keeps the eye on her face. Clarity rises by 9 for a little extra definition.
Copper Hair, Quieter Greens
Oranges shift toward red and get brighter, which gives hair and skin that copper warmth, and greens lose much of their color so houseplants stay in the background. Blues lose some saturation, and faint tints add warmth to the highlights and blue to the shadows.
Best on: redheads, window-light portraits, and quiet moments at home.

Lake Forest
Lake Forest darkens a bright corner for a moodier portrait. The concrete wall behind her goes a deeper, warmer gray, her skin gains depth and the striped blue shirt stays crisp against the darker room. Exposure and white balance both stay where they are.
Lower Highlights, Deeper Shadows
Contrast rises while highlights, whites, shadows and blacks all come down, so the whole frame darkens without losing its brightest details. Clarity is eased back a little to keep skin smooth. The tone curve partly offsets this by lifting the darks and lights a little.
Lighter, Softer Blues
Blues lose a good amount of saturation but get lighter, and purples and magentas are heavily muted, while reds shift toward orange for smoother, more even skin. Oranges lean toward red and yellows toward orange, and yellows lose some saturation.
Best on: relaxed portraits on a couch or bed, and rooms with gray or concrete walls.

Night Watch
Night Watch adds depth and warmth to a sunny interior. Her dark hair and glasses get deeper, the bamboo blind and terracotta pot warm up, and the white brick and striped shirt stay bright. Exposure drops by about an eighth of a stop, and highlights ease down slightly.
Dehaze and Texture for Definition
Contrast, dehaze, clarity and texture all go up and the shadows and blacks come down, which gives plants, brick and fabric a crisp, defined edge. The white balance warms a bit for a cozier feel. Its dehaze setting is the strongest in the whole pack.
Warm Highlights, Bright Wood Tones
An orange tint goes into the highlights and oranges and yellows get brighter, so wood, clay and skin glow, while greens lean toward yellow. Yellows, greens and blues each lose a little saturation.
Best on: hobby and lifestyle photos, plants and kitchens, and daylight interiors.

Muted Sherwin
Muted Sherwin calms a bright kitchen into a quieter, more even tone. The wooden counter top loses its orange glow, the white tiles and cabinets shift toward soft gray and the teal leggings get a little deeper. Exposure and white balance do not change, so the calmer tone comes from the color mix.
Yellows Pulled Out
Yellows are heavily desaturated and shifted toward orange, and reds are muted too, which takes the warm cast out of wood and light. Highlights and whites come down so white surfaces hold their detail. On the tone curve, the darks go down and the lights go up for gentle depth.
Darker Blues and Greens
Blues are muted and darkened a lot and greens get darker, so teal clothing and houseplants turn deeper and calmer. Added clarity and texture keep edges crisp. A light vignette darkens the corners.
Best on: home workouts, kitchen and interior scenes, and photos with lots of white.

Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay softens strong color in a sunny room. The orange wood floor turns a lighter, more natural tan, the mint sofa and green dress settle down slightly, and the bright window light still reads soft. Exposure drops by a tenth of a stop while the white balance warms slightly.
Deeper Shadows, Gentle Contrast
Contrast and dehaze rise a little while shadows and blacks come down, so furniture and food on the floor gain shape. A faint blue tint goes into the shadows and a dark vignette frames the room. Highlights come down a little, and whites rise slightly.
Lighter Yellows, Calmer Blues
Yellows get brighter, oranges lean toward red and yellows toward orange, while blues lose some saturation, so warm wood and skin glow without turning loud. It is the only preset in the pack that raises vibrance.
Best on: bright apartments, food on the floor or table, and sunny afternoons at home.

What’s included in the Moody Indoor Lightroom Presets?
The pack includes 10 presets: Half Moon Bay, Willow Tree, Crisp Riverway, Felted Wool, Soft Silvermist, Muted Sherwin, Morning Fog, Night Watch, Lake Forest and Partly Cloudy. They come as .XMP presets for Lightroom Classic, Lightroom desktop and Lightroom on your phone, plus .DNG versions for older versions of the mobile app.
What kind of photos are the Moody Indoor Lightroom Presets made for?
They are made to add drama to indoor photographs. The presets increase contrast, darken and enhance shadows, and add texture and definition, giving your images more drama and depth. They work with both RAW and JPEG photos. The featured look on the page is Crisp Riverway.
Which Moody Indoor Lightroom Presets are shown on this page?
The before and after examples show Crisp Riverway, Felted Wool, Half Moon Bay, Lake Forest, Muted Sherwin, Night Watch and Soft Silvermist. The pack also includes Willow Tree, Morning Fog and Partly Cloudy, for 10 presets in all.
Are Lightroom Presets included in my PHLEARN PRO subscription?
Yes. A PHLEARN PRO membership includes every Lightroom Preset pack, plus PRO Tutorials, LUTs, Photoshop Actions and Photoshop Brushes.
Which version of Lightroom do I need?
The .XMP presets work in Lightroom Classic 7.3 and newer, in Lightroom on your computer and in Lightroom on your phone. For older versions of the mobile app, use the .DNG files in the download. We recommend the latest version.
How do I install Lightroom Presets?
In Lightroom Classic, open the Develop module, click the + in the Presets panel, choose Import Presets and select the .XMP files. The PDF install guide in your download covers Lightroom on your computer and your phone too, and every method is on our Lightroom Presets install guide.
I imported the pack, but I can’t see it.
The new group arrives collapsed and sits in alphabetical order. Scroll the Presets panel, find the group named after the pack and click its arrow.
Do I have to install the presets on my phone separately?
Not if you import them into Lightroom on your computer: within a few minutes they show up in Lightroom on any device signed in to the same Adobe account. If you use Lightroom Classic, import the .XMP files in the mobile app: open a photo, tap Presets, then Yours, then the three-dot menu and Import Presets.
Do the presets work on RAW and JPEG photos?
Yes. Every preset is built to work on both RAW and JPEG files, and each one can be adjusted after you apply it.
The preset looks too strong. What do I do?
Lower the Amount slider at the top of the Presets panel, then adjust White Balance and Exposure for that photo. Every photo starts from different light.
Do you offer refunds?
Because these are downloadable products, all sales are final and we are not able to offer refunds.
