Thanks Aaron! Learned some good techniques from this episode!

Here is what I created using what I learned:

The girls were shot in my studio and the background was a grab shot of my driveway from a couple years ago. Successfully melded the two together into a decent scene.

More I run the marketing for a ski/snowboard company and this season due to budget cuts I was forced to shoot, edit, composite, and retouch our in store display campaign for 3 of the largest sporting goods chains in North America. I panicked, then scoured the internet for help and stumbled upon Plearn.

I watch a number of the free episodes and was able to handle the pre shoot, shoot, and composite, then purchased the Skin Retouching Tutorial to handle the rest. I can now proudly say my work is displayed in over 600 stores! All thanks to Phlearn. Great instructions and a great community! Go Phlearn!!!

More I first came across Aaron before Phlearn, when he was teaching "Learn Photoshop Live," and I can absolutely say that my development as a photographer would have been considerably slower if I hadn't found him.

I was studying photography at art school and our Photoshop teachers were just TERRIBLE. I learned more in one of Aaron's classes than I did all year at college and for just a fraction of the price! And I didn't just learn to copy other images. I learned solid techniques that I could use and adapt to create the images I had been dying to create but just didn't know how.

It was great to see some of the Learn Photoshop Live lessons being recreated as Phlearn PRO tutorials, making them even more accessible and affordable. They are phenomenal value for money and I'm always astounded by what I learn.

More I remember having Aaron's images in my collection of inspirational artwork on my laptop when I came to Australia to study Photography in 2008. I had no idea how that awesomeness could be created and was dying to find out. Needless to say, when Phlearn was born it was like a dream come true!

I absolutely love how Aaron is laid back and fun in his video tutorials, it just makes you feel like you're hanging out with a friend, who's teaching you some cool stuff - it's easy to comprehend, it's not tiring and every video is jam packed with golden nuggets of priceless information. The entire website is full of brilliant educational materials.

I wish Phlearn was created 5 years ago, it would have saved me a lot of time learning Photoshop!

Great job! The entire Phlearn team, you guys are amazing! Keep up the great work!

More Phlearn's free courses trump most of the paid options that are out there and the PRO ones absolutely destroy them. Phlearn is the only place where I've seen practical solutions and examples to the problems that photographers face on a daily basis.

Aaron's presentation of both photography and Photoshop techniques is clear, concise and enjoyable. The value you get from the texture packs and PRO courses is fantastic and they immediately take your finished products to a whole new level.

I love my weekly dose of Phlearn and look forward to the ambitious projects in upcoming PRO tutorials. Keep up the great work Aaron!

More I have been using Photoshop for a few years, but have just started my first 365 self-portraiture project. Wow, It takes a lot of work to make me look like I want to look. Once I found Phlearn, it was like an addiction. There is so much useful information on the site, and Aaron is truely talented and amazing (and a little crazy).

After watching hours and hours of free videos, I downloaded the retouching pack from the Pro Tutorials. There is so much information in there about what to look for, how to fix it, some truly amazing techniques made simple. Now, I just have to figure out how not to end up with a blue face, but artistically, I don't think Aaron can teach me that. Just practice. I am at the beginning of my photography journey, but learning by leaps and bounds, thank you Phlearn, and Phlearn Pro Tutorials.

More I've been a Photoshop nerd since version 3, and I can tell you that I've had a love/hate relationship with PS since the very beginning. As powerful as it is, PS is also one if the most frustrating and difficult to learn pieces of software I have ever encountered. I used to think of myself as somewhat of a PS "guru", that is until I happened upon the Phlearn website. It was immediately obvious that despite his somewhat cavalier and funny exterior, Aaron was a guy who knew the in's and out's of PS like know one I had seen before.

After viewing countless free tutorials (hey, I'm cheap) I finally broke down and purchased several of the Pro Tutorials and let me tell you that I can unabashedly recommend these tutorials to anyone at any skill level. Anyone who wants to get the most out of PS and increase their productivity and creativity. I have rarely seen a person with a gift and passion for teaching like Aaron and I can honestly say that I have learned and applied something from almost every tutorial I have viewed: Something that cannot be said about every tutorial site I have used and there have been many!!

Thanks Phlearn, I'm better at what I love to do because of you guys!

More To start, Phlearn is amazing! I have searched the web over and over trying to find good photoshop tutorials that actually went into depth on the tools and techniques for creating the type of photos I see in my head. About six months ago I found Phlearn and am so glad I did. I'm only on my 3rd Pro Tutorial, but have already learned more than I could have imagined in that short time.

Aaron Nace is such a good, fun teacher and really breaks down every step and tool used to create his photos. Not only that, but he shows you how to do things several different ways so you can pick the one that is most comfortable for you. If you're questioning wether or not to get a Pro Tutorial or if Phlearn is right for you, the answer is YES! Thanks for all you do Aaron and all the others who make Phlearn what it is.

More I've been following Aaron's work since the days of the Flickr self portraits. I always left wishing I knew how he made those amazing images and feeling inspired, but inadequate. With Phlearn, I am learning those techniques and more! Not only does Aaron share his deep knowledge of Photoshop, he does it in a way that makes me feel as if I am sitting across from a friend. His delivery is at a great pace; moving quickly but making sure to explain the more difficult concepts fully, while not wasting time with endless repetition.

With some tutorials on other sites, the only way to use the lesson is on the image given. Phlearn tutorials leave me thinking of how I can use the techniques in other shots I've made. Phlearn lessons are not the standard Photoshop fare, but a much deeper learning experience. Aaron looks at achieving his goal in multiple ways and shares that unique insight with his viewers. Many of these "out of the box" techniques have been the most useful I've added to my Photoshop arsenal.

The abundance of free tutorials is amazing and the Phlearn Pro tutorials take editing to a whole new level! For an incredibly reasonable fee, I've learned not only how to fix/enhance an image, but a whole new way to approach Photoshop!

I look forward to seeing how the Phlearn Phamily grows! Thanks for all of the inspiration!

More I had been editing with Photoshop for about 1,5 years already when I discovered Phlearn! It was pretty much at the beginning and if I remember correctly, I found out about it via Aaron's Flickr stream. It must have been around episode 25 or so and ever since then I have been hooked! I loved the old episodes and I love the news ones and I esp. love the Pro Tutorials because it makes you understand the magic behind it!

I used to watch tutorials on YouTube and could never really follow them too well so I gave up eventually, most of the time pretty frustrated because I wanted to improve my skills! Phlearn has showed me the inside secrets of Photoshop and how easy it can be if you know certain things! Thanks to Phlearn, I have improved to a whole new level and I will forever be grateful for that.

You rock, Aaron and Phlearn! <3
